The Smile Center Orthodontics | Creating Beautiful Smiles for the Entire Family

At the Smile Center Family Dentistry, our main goal is to give you and your children the beautiful, healthy smile you’ve always wanted. In many cases, that means helping to straighten crooked teeth. Our orthodontics team will work with you during every step of the orthodonture process, from evaluation to installing braces, to tightening and adjusting braces, to providing at-home trays and retainers to nurture the healing process.

Types of Dental Braces:  Selecting Traditional Brackets vs. Clear Orthodontic Trays

We offer various types of orthodontic treatment to help our patients achieve their optimum healthy smile. We offer the traditional braces (metal, ceramic and clear brackets), invisible braces, and clear braces which as removable correction trays through ClearCorrect. Clear aligners are a great option for many patients, but for others traditional brackets are a better option.

Metal Dental
Brackets: In-Ovation

The In-Ovation system uses discreet brackets which are moved using a thin metal wire attached using clips instead of elastic bands, creating a “free-sliding” teeth alignment system that reduces friction and helps gradually move your teeth efficiently and comfortably. Benefits of using InOvation braces include less frequent and shorter orthodontist visits and less discomfort than traditional fixed braces.

Clear Orthodontic
Trays

ClearCorrect is an alternative teeth straightening solution that does not require any wires or brackets. Invisible custom teeth alignment trays are worn daily – except when eating – and are gradually replaced by new alignment trays that progressively realign teeth to their desired position. ClearCorrect is the “invisible” alternative to braces and is typically far more affordable than traditional braces or fixed dental appliances.

Invisible Ceramic
+ Clear Braces

Ceramic and clear braces are designed to be less noticeable than traditional metal braces. The brackets of ceramic braces are made of a tooth-colored ceramic that closely matches the color of tooth enamel. The brackets of clear braces are made of a clear plastic, instead of metal, that adhere to the front of the teeth. Both clear and ceramic braces are a great alternative to metal braces, that offer patients a more discreet way to realign teeth. We offer clear and ceramic braces at any of our orthodontic locations.

Children as young as age 11 can begin orthodontic treatment, and adults of every age can benefit from correction of misaligned teeth or jaws. In fact, you are never too old to seek orthodontic treatment to straighten your smile and improve your health.
